Get Ready For A New Batman And Robin Movie!

One of my favorite television shows growing up was Batman.  When I got home from work, they'd be on in reruns (no, I'm not that old!  They were reruns!) I loved how the show would end after a half-hour showing the Dynamic Duo trapped in some sort of precarious situation, seemingly inescapable.  I'd hear those famous words telling me to tune back in "same Bat-time, same Bat-channel."  The show would immediately pick back up, and the two would be safe, and they'd end up capturing the villain of the week.  It was a great show that in order to enjoy, all you had to do was watch it.

Now, nearly fifty years later, we're being treated to a new story that features the original Batman and Robin.  Adam West and Burt Ward have teamed up to voice a new animated movie called Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders.  Not only are the two of them doing the voices of Batman and Robin, but Julie Newmar is also back voicing her iconic role as Catwoman.  Here's the official synopsis for the film:

“It’s back to the 1960s as Batman and Robin spring into action when Gotham City is threatened by a quartet of Batman’s most fiendish foes – Penguin, The Joker, Riddler and Catwoman. This time, the four Super-Villains have combined their wicked talents to hatch a plot so nefarious that the Dynamic Duo will need to go to outer space (and back) to foil their arch enemies and restore order in Gotham City. It’s a truly fantastic adventure that will pit good against evil, good against good, evil against evil … and feature two words that exponentially raise the stakes for both sides: Replicator Ray. Holy Multiplication Tables!”

If you're like me and still enjoy watching the old show in reruns, then make sure that you give this movie a try.  It hits shelves this year on November 1.
