A Wolverine vs The Hulk Movie Rumored To Be In The Works

After Marvel regained the properties for the X-Men and The Fantastic Four (and their accompanying characters as well) people have been wondering how they were going to introduce them into the MCU.  Why not follow the comic book's lead in this?

Wolverine made a brief appearance in The Incredible Hulk #180 in it's very last panel, but was full on beast mode in The Incredible Hulk #181, which many believe was his first true appearance in the Marvel comic book universe.  This was before he had joined the X-Men, and he would soon grow to be the most popular Marvel character in comics.

Now, according to Comic Book News, Marvel and Disney are working on a Wolverine vs. The Incredible Hulk movie.  Notice how Wolverine's name comes first in the title? That's because Universal still technically holds the movie rights for any Incredible Hulk movie, but as long as he isn't the title lead, then Marvel can use him as they please.  Yeah, I know, it doesn't make sense to me either.

What they are saying the film will deal with is the Hulk will be sent to Canada to retrieve Wolverine (known as Weapon X at this point) and runs into Alpha Force.  They're also looking for him. It's also rumored that the story will draw heavily from Immortal Hulk comics, which are among the most fan-favorite of the Green Goliath.  It's also a much darker version of the Hulk than we have seen in the MCU.

While none of this has been confirmed, it would be a really good way to introduce the new Wolverine to the MCU and give him a starting point before bringing in the rest of the X-Men. I think gradually introducing the different characters (since there are so many of them) is the smart way to move forward, and it would allow the viewers a chance to get to know each one individually.

So what do you think of this approach, if it turns out to be true?  Let me know in the comments below, or you can message me, or leave comments on my Facebook page. I want to know what you all think about this.  So I have more news to post, but I am going to wait until tomorrow.  I need some stuff to talk about in case nothing new pops up between now and then.  Here's a teaser, they both deal with the CW's Arrowverse and a possible spinoff.  Until tomorrow!
