Two Marvel Characters Already Confirmed For Infinity Wars

Thor StarLord InfinityWar

This might not be that big of a piece of information that warrants an entire post about it, but I feel that it does.  The reason I say this is because we really don't know who is going to make it out of the upcoming Captain America: Civil War movie alive.  Rumors have it that three people will die in the movie, but who they are we don't know yet.  We assume that in the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War movies that we'll get to see every single Marvel character that's been introduced to us so far, but again, that's just an assumption.  So when Comicbook.com interviewed the Russo brothers about who they're most excited to get to work with for Infinity War, both answered with characters that aren't going to be in the Captain America movie.  Here's a portion of the article written by Brandon Davis for Comicbook.com:

"The movies are intended to be a culmination of everything that's happened before in the MCU so you don't want to get into spoilers but I'm a big fan of what James Gunn has done," Anthony Russo told Comicbook.com. "[Joe Russo and I] are both big fans of what James Gunn has done. Star-Lord is a fantastic character and Chris Pratt is an awesome performer so you'd be very excited," he said, teasing Pratt and Star-Lord's presence in Infinity War.

Joe Russo, on the other hand, is excited to bring the Norse God into the mix and, especially because he knows something about Thor: Ragnarok that we don't.

"I'm excited to work with Thor," Joe Russo says. "They're doing some really interesting stuff with Ragnarok and where he's gonna be at the beginning of Infinity War is gonna be a very interesting place and I think very profound. I think he's gonna have a real emotional motivation after that."

Davis goes on to say that in case there is any debate about their comments, both Thor and Star Lord have been confirmed as appearing in Infinity War.  I think that the most interesting thing about this news is trying to figure out how Star Lord makes his way to Earth...or is everybody else going to go into outer space?  We will just have to wait a few years in order to find out.

Avengers: Infinity Wars I comes out May4, 2018, and Avengers: Infinity Wars II comes out May 3, 2019.  Captain America: Civil War comes out in a few weeks, May 6, 2016.
