Toy Brand Reveals Huge Spoiler For Captain America: Civil War

avengers-lego

Leave it to the toy companies!  I don't know, I actually think this is quite funny!

Before the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, JJ Abrams had a tight control over what would and what would not be released before the movie, making sure to keep everything spoiler-free for the film.  That included what toys would be released before the movie came out.  You'd be surprised at what sort of spoilers you can get out of a simple toy release, as Marvel is learning all too well.

A full four and a half months before the movie is set to come out, a LEGO catalog in Germany may have spilled the beans regarding one of the new Avengers member's powers.  Take a look at the photo above.  See anything unusual?  Yes, it's Ant-Man, although he's not the little ant-sized hero from the movie of the same name, he's huge!  This isn't really that big of a surprise, everyone that reads comic books knows that his powers work in both directions regarding size, but to see it in a toy advertisement before even hearing anything about this is kind of sloppy.  Doesn't Disney own both Marvel and Lucasfilm?  How could they keep such a tight lid over Star Wars and not do the same for Captain America?  Like I said, sloppy.

In another LEGO set, it also shows Hyperion.  Don't expect him to be in the movie, he falls more in line with Guardians of the Galaxy than anything that has to do with the planet Earth.  However, his inclusion could be a sign that Marvel is wanting to use him in the next Guardians movie, seeing how they're going to be using him a lot in the upcoming Squadron Supreme comic that comes out later this year.  If you don't know who Hyperion is, he's an Eternal.  Remember that floating head in Guardians of the Galaxy?  The one they called Nowhere?  Yeah, that's an Eternal.  They were a race of super humans that were created by the Celestials.  So keep an eye out for him.

Captain America: Civil War hits theaters May 6, 2016.
