Google Cardboard

cardboard guide unofficial 2plus

Tired of waiting for an Oasis machine to be made, or can't afford an Oculus Rift device?  Then Google has the right thing for you!  This is kind of a new item, however it was revealed last year to the Google I/O attendees last year.  It seems to only work on Android devices, but this is still pretty cool!  You can either buy a kit to put together, or you can find plans online to make one yourself out of household items.  There are free apps that you can download, everything from concerts, digital worlds, even a roller coaster ride.  You put your phone in the box, then hold it up to your eyes...kind of like a high-tech View Master!  As you're looking through it, you can turn your head around and you get a 360 degree look at the world you've downloaded.  Unfortunately for me, it's not available on the iPhone yet, and I'm not sure if it is going to be.

It's still pretty cool, though, right?
