Firefly Online Moving Forward

It had already been announced, by none other than Joss Whedon himself, that the upcoming MMO Firefly Online will feature the voices of the entire original cast, including Alan Tudyk (Wash) and Michael Fairman (Niska.)  They now have one more familiar voice to add to the 'Verse.

Wil Wheaton has been added by the game's developers to play the main lead character, namely you.  In the game, you can choose to either be a male captain, or a female captain, although there has been no news on who will be lending her voice to the female lead character.

Firefly had it's original (and short-lived, thanks a lot FOX!) run back in 2002, and returned to the big screen back in 2005.  That was the last time we saw Mal and his crew, and although it only produced 13 episodes and a major motion picture, it's popularity has continued to grow, with new fans being made every day.  Fans of the show (called Browncoats) can be seen dressing the part at every major Comic Con.

Firefly Online will finally give us some new adventures with our favorite space outlaws.  I haven't found an expected release date yet, but I'll keep you updated as more news is released.
