Star Trek: Discovery Releases Trailer

CBS's new Star Trek: Discovery has had some trouble getting going, but it now looks like it's finally on track for fall release.  While the pilot episode for the show will be released on their network station, the rest of the series will only be available on their streaming network, CBS All Access.  The show takes place ten years before Kirk, Spock, and the rest of the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise began their five-year mission.  You can see the first look at the show in the trailer down below:

Since CBS All Access is a pay site, they needed to give fans something spectacular to see in the trailer to try and get people to sign up for their service, and I think they did a pretty good job.  Star Trek fans should enjoy what they've seen, and may be hoping for a show that is truer to the original series than the movies that have been released.  While I really enjoy the movies that have been done, a lot of fans have had serious misgivings about the trilogy and have voiced their concerns over the web.  Maybe this will give them what they have felt has been missing.

***UPDATE!!!***

It looks like CBS isn't ready to release this trailer yet, they pulled it, so I apologize that it's not available.  Trust me, though...it was pretty awesome!
