The Next Big Movie To Be Released Is Batman v Superman

Possible Green Lantern In Batman V Superman Revealed image

Warner Brothers and DC have to be getting a little nervous with the upcoming premier of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, especially after the incredible debut of Deadpool!  Early indicators had predicted that Deadpool would pull in only $60 - $70 million in it's opening weekend, but after pulling in $47.5 million opening night, and continuing strong throughout the weekend, it's four day total is looking to be closer to $155+ million when all is said and done.  And Deadpool was made only spending $58 million.  It's looking to take in triple what it took to film!  That's pretty amazing!  I wonder how much Batman v Superman cost to make?

The answer to that last question is $131 million, and unlike the extremely positive reviews that Deadpool had received in it's early screenings, Batman v Superman hasn't been so lucky.  In fact, the only thing that people who've seen the early screenings have said they like about the movie is Ben Affleck's Batman.  You'll notice that going into the final stretch of advertising there is going to be more of a focus on Batman than on anybody else, including Superman.  Executive producers are beginning to worry that the dark and brooding world of the DC cinematic universe isn't appealing to audiences.  That's not to say that it won't be a huge success, people can't wait to see Batman and Superman and Wonder Woman on the same screen at the same time.  Not only that, but we'll also get to see Aquaman, Cyborg, and the Flash as well.  The only one that won't be making an appearance will be Green Lantern...or will he?

There's a rumor going around that Green Lantern will actually be making an appearance in the movie, at least, one of the Green Lanterns will be making an appearance in the film.  Since we know that the upcoming Green Lantern movie will actually be called The Green Lantern Corps, it could possibly be a number of different Green Lanterns that will show up, but the most likely candidate is Hal Jordan.  The rumor goes on to say that Dan Amboyer will be playing this role.  In the film, his character credit is only "drone pilot."  Hmmm...a pilot...

Whatever happens happens, right?  And we won't have to wait long to find out if it's going to be a huge hit or a disaster.  Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice comes out March 23, 2016.
