Two new Star Wars series are rumored to be in development, and the first one that I'm going to talk about is the Darth Vader series. Now, we all know that Darth Vader died at the end of Return of the Jedi, so they're saying that this is going to be a series that jumps around the timeline of both Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader's life.
The concept of the show will revolve around the time period before the events of A New Hope take place. The concept for this show began after the release of Rogue One and the end scene that featured Darth Vader going full-on Sith against the Rebel fighters. It was one of the most talked about scenes from the movie, and fans loved seeing him as a full on villain. We had always been told that he was the most feared person in the galaxy, but until that moment in the movie, we had never seen any reason why he was so feared. That scene cemented his reputation.
Okay, back to the rumored show. It's being said that actor James Earl Jones is on board to do the voice over work, and that Hayden Christensen would be playing Anakin in flash backs from his life during the Clone Wars. This would give Christensen a chance at redemption for a performance that many thought was lacking.
Disney hasn't confirmed this rumored series yet, as they might be waiting to see how how the final movie of the Skywalker Saga, The Rise of Skywalker does in theaters. So who's going to be in the second rumored series?
Out favorite little muppet Yoda. It had been said that Disney was going to do a stand alone movie featuring the elderly Jedi, but with the disappointing performance of Solo: A Star Wars Story, those plans were put on ice. Now that Disney is going to launch Disney+ here soon, they are going to need to give people a reason to buy the streaming service. What better way than to provide original programming involving a Galaxy Far, Far Away? It's still a long ways off before it will start filming, but considering that he was the one thing from The Last Jedi that both fans of the movie, and the people that hated it enjoyed seeing, we are sure that this will get fast tracked into production.
So what do you think about these two rumored shows? Would you give them a chance, or tune them out? Let me know in the comments section below or on my Facebook page.
