Okay, not in the sense that you are thinking, It's been revealed that Rey is going to have some new "Force Powers," specifically the power to heal and regenerate. This is the power that Anakin was trying to possess in the Prequels and that Palpatine told him the Jedi would never be able to teach him, The sourse of these leaks says the following:
"Rey and crew do get attacked by a sandwort alien, which reveals an inexplicable new super power Rey possess: the power to heal or even rejuvenate life. The heroes battle the creature and almost kill the worm and then she uses her powers to repair, or heal, or even bring it back to life."
My first question after reading this was, "Why bring it back from certain destruction?" It didn't make sense. Then I read a post by Reddit leaker Jedi Paxis who said:
"The only other part where my info differs is that I was told that instead of our heroes almost killing the worm, the worm basically has out heroes backed into a metaphorical corner and the healing is what allows them to survive and escape. The main story beat is the same, but some of the details panning out out one way vs. the other has slightly different implications on Rey's character. Your makes it sound like it was an act done from a place of power and out of pity while mine implies compassion in the face of danger."
This isn't the only Force Power they say she will reveal...they say she will also be able to wield Force Lightning! What does that mean? Maybe it means that she will be able to wield the power of the Dark and the Light and truly be the balance to the Force. Won't know for certain until the film comes out this December!
