Sorry everyone, but this was just too good to wait until Monday to talk about. It was just revealed that Paramount Pictures and JJ Abrams have been working on a sequel to 2008's Cloverfield. And it comes out on March 11th! How did they manage to do this without anyone finding out???
They were very, very sneaky! In 2014 Paramount announced that they were collaborating with Abrams' Bad Robot on a film that was called Valencia (a.k.a. The Cellar) that was to be a post-apocalyptic thriller, and it was going to be directed by Dan Trachtenberg. Turns out that the movie was a smoke screen for the Cloverfield sequel. The movie stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead, John Gallagher Jr., and John Goodman, and like I said before, It'll hit theaters on March 11, 2016.
