Do you know who this guy is? Chances are, you don't. His name is Dan Amboyer, and he's more known for is stage performances than he is for anything else. That's not to say he hasn't done any film work. He's been in William and Catherine: A Royal Romance, Love The Coopers, and Lily in the Grinder. Don't feel bad if you haven't seen any of these productions...neither have I, and I don't plan on it, either. But get to know his face, because he could quite possibly be the next Green Lantern in the DCCU. Oh yeah, that stands for "DC Cinematic Universe." I'll use that going forward from now on.
Why do people think that this guy is going to be the next Green Lantern? Well, to be honest, he might actually show up in the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice film as Hal Jordan. He may even show up as the Green Lantern himself, already friends with Barry Allen (a.k.a. the Flash) near the end of the movie! This is pretty big news, considering that the next Green Lantern movie isn't expected until 2020! So what's going on over at Warner Brothers and DC?
First of all, this guy was one of the actors that was being talked about for this role for a while now. Fanboy's have been clamoring for this guy to fill in the gap for a superhero role, too. Also, the fact that he's been hitting the gym now for some time says that he's been preparing for a role that may be pretty huge, leading me to believe that it's for the Hal Jordan role.
This is all speculation, but with the schedule he's been following and the lack of people refuting these rumors, don't be surprised if he's getting in shape for a role that will put him in league with some of the world's finest superheroes!
