Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 Rumored To Introduce Elders Of The Universe

To begin, I'd like to apologize for yesterday's post.  I had written it the day before, and had no idea that it would be taken down.  You can thank the people over at Disney for that one.  These companies need to relax a little bit, and let the fans create their tributes to their favorite films...especially if they aren't profiting from it.  Disney's not the only one that's going this, CBS Paramount and Paramount Pictures is still moving forward with their lawsuit against the fan film Star Trek: Axanar, even though earlier it was said that it had been dropped.  These types of actions will hurt companies by going after the fans that pay to see their movies.  Fans will eventually turn their backs on them.  So again, I apologize.  Let's move on...

With Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2 coming out next year, rumors and hints as to what's going to be in store for us have slowly begun trickling out.  We know that Kurt Russell will be playing Ego, The Living Planet, and he will turn out to be Star Lord's father.  With his introduction to the MCU, many are speculating that the movie will also introduce the Elders of the Universe, a group of ancients that are the oldest beings in the universe, and the last of their race.  It's being said that some of these roles have already been cast, but that the characters haven't been completely fleshed out.  That means that while we may learn about the Elders in Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2, we may not actually see them until a movie at a later date, possibly being a vital part of Avengers: Infinity War.

Schmoes Know was the first to report on the Elders being an integral part of the movie, and that at least four of the Elders will appear in the film.  They claim (even though James Gunn has denied this) that Benicio del Toro's "Collector" will be one of the Elders appearing, Elizabeth Debicki's "Ayesha" will be another, and Sylvester Stallone and Sharon Stone will play the other two, but their characters haven't been named yet.  Jeff Goldblum is set to play "Grandmaster" in Thor: Ragnarok, and his character is also one of the Elders.

Again, these are all rumors, and shouldn't be quoted as fact.  The only way we are going to know what's to happen is to go see the movie when it comes out May5, 2017.  I think it's safe to say that Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2 may be one of the most anticipated Marvel movies that's coming up.  One last thing, I'm going to be taking the weekend off, but I'll be back here on Monday.  Just giving everyone a heads up!
