One of the biggest successes that Arrow has given us were the episodes featuring the Suicide Squad. They even teased a small screen "appearance" of Harley Quinn, but we never really got to see her, and she was only given a scant few lines. The real star of the Suicide Squad was Michael Rowe's Deadshot. He was given a great story with flashbacks and all, but he was ultimately killed off after Warner Bros. announced that they were making a Suicide Squad movie, and Deadshot was to be one of the main characters (played by Will Smith). It made it sound like the movie company didn't want to share characters with the television side of things. However, now that Supergirl has made it's way over to The CW and they've introduced Superman into the series, maybe things are letting up a bit.
It seriously sounds like it, especially since Green Arrow TV is reporting that Rowe will be reprising his role in tonight's episode "A Matter Of Trust." While they haven't heard how his character Deadshot will return, it's being speculated that the events from Flashpoint over on The Flash may have altered the timeline enough that Floyd Lawton (a.k.a. Deadshot) never died.
Now, this is all purely speculation and nothing has been confirmed, but we'll find out soon enough this evening. With both Superman and Gotham City having been acknowledge to exist in the "Arrow-verse" (even if Superman only exists in a parallel universe) maybe the movie company side of WB is relaxing their grip on what the television show can and can't do. It would make sense, considering their television shows seem to get better reviews than their movies.
Arrow airs Wednesday nights at 8 pm on The CW.
