While we still have several months before Thor: Ragnarok comes out n theaters, we are already hearing some things about the "end-credits" scene. Director Taiki Waititi and cast recently finished up two weeks worth of reshoots, and Waititi continued his request that the actors first shoot the scripted scenes, and then shot a number of similar scenes where the actors improvised lines instead of what was written for the scene. The results sound like this technique has improved the movie ten-fold. Even the actors seemed to enjoy the freedom that they were given during filming. One of the actors, Tessa Thompson, recently sat down for an interview and had this to say about the movie and it's reshoots:
"Dude, we killed it. I mean hopefully. We did so many setups, and also what was so exciting is you could see like at the end of the day it would get cut in… There’s two characters in the film that potentially have a fight scene, and some of the reshoots were just adding. So it wasn’t like reshooting stuff, a lot of it was just additional photography or like shooting tags which may or may not have included cameos from elsewhere."
Wait...cameos? Who was she talking about? It's not that hard to believe that the director was able to get whatever actors he needed from the other franchise movies to come in to shoot some scenes, considering that Avengers: Infinity War was filming around the same time as the reshoots. It seems practical to think that if he needed/wanted any of the actors for an added scene, it wouldn't be that hard to pull off. So what did they shoot that required "cameos" of other Marvel characters? I guess we won't find out until Thor: Ragnarok comes out on November 3, 2017. You can read the movies synopsis down below:
In Thor: Ragnarok, Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok – the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization – at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first, he must survive a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger – The Incredible Hulk!
