One of the biggest mysteries in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is just what the hell happened to the Hulk at the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron? The last we saw of him, he was flying off in a Quinjet and hasn't been seen since. Well, at least not until the trailer for Thor: Ragnarok was released. In it, he's decked out in a gladiator outfit ready to kick the crap out of Thor. So how did he get from point A to point B?
This past weekend at the San Diego Comic Con, one of the panels that dealt with the MCU's Thor: Ragnarok may have given us the fist hint as to what happened to the Hulk, and how he ended up on Sakaar. Sakaar was the name of the planet from the Planet Hulk comic book series, but in the movie is run by Jeff Goldblum's "Grandmaster." So how did he get there? It looks like Tessa Thompson's Valkyrie had a lot to do with it.
Apparently, the planet Sakaar is surrounded by a lot of cosmic gateways, and occasionally people or objects fall through these gateways and sometimes they get picked up by a group called "Scrappers." In fact, Valkyrie is called "Scrapper 142" by The Grandmaster. Because of this information, we can surmise that at some point the Hulk fell through one of these cosmic gateways and got picked up by one of the Scrappers, presumably Valkyrie. If Valkyrie was the one that picked up the Hulk, that tells us that she is one powerful badass! We don't know all of this for sure, but it makes sense. We just don't know when or where the Hulk ended up falling through one of these cosmic gateways. I'm guessing that we'll learn more as soon as the movie comes out in a few months.
Thor: Ragnarok hits theaters November 3, 2017.
