So ComicBook.com was search around the web, and it notice something interesting...an online Target listing for the Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2 is set for August 22. No listing on bonus material or deleted scenes or anything like that, but the fact that it's scheduled for release near the end of August is pretty exciting. It's not just the digital platform, but DVD and Blu-ray, as well.
The reason that they are doing this may just be simple marketing. WeGotThisCovered.com suggested that it's to keep fan's interest in the MCU after Spider-Man: Homecoming finishes it's run in the theaters, and before Thor: Ragnarok comes out. You know, as a "late-summer treat," as they put it. It makes sense, and is a plausible theory, most likely true.
That's it for today, really. I thought it was worth mentioning before heading into the weekend. I'm going to go see Spider-Man tomorrow, so I'll let you know what I think about it next week.
