The beautiful and talented Rachel McAdams is rumored to have joined the Marvel family.
With the next phase of Marvel's MCU movies getting under way, scores of actors are getting hired to portray some of their most iconic characters. According to Heroic Hollywood, McAdmas is going to be one of these actors.
It's not known yet who she will be playing (or if she's even signed on yet, this is still all speculation,)but the most obvious choice is that she will be playing Clea in the upcoming Doctor Strange movie. This is what Blastr.com had to say about the character:
"A sorceress herself, Clea is the daughter of Umar, sister of major Doctor Strange villain Dormammu, who is the ruler of the mystical realm known as the Dark Dimension. At one point Clea becomes Sorceress Supreme of the Dark Dimension and lords over it herself, estranging herself from Doctor Strange in the process."
If this is the role that she will be playing, it's unclear how much of a back story they plan on making for her, if any at all. She may not even be playing Clea at all, but another character all together, but the fact that she may be joining the MCU is pretty big news in itself.
Doctor Strange begins shooting this November and is scheduled for release on November 4, 2016.
