According to Latino Review, a site that seems to get a lot of early scoops on upcoming movies, it's being reported that Chris Pine has been offered two roles by Warner Brothers involving their upcoming DC Cinematic Universe. The two roles being offered (and mind you, he won't be playing both, it'll be one or the other) are that of Steve Trevor in the upcoming Wonder Woman film, and Hal Jordan (a.k.a. Green Lantern).
According to BirthMoviesDeath.com, the site claims to have spoken to someone close to the negotiations involving WB and Pine, and they confirmed the rumors. Even though a decision hasn't been reached yet, sources close to Pine claim that he's leaning towards being the next Green Lantern.
Warner Brothers is hoping to unveil their entire Justice League line-up at this week's San Diego Comic Con, so we may find out his decision by week's end. As soon as I hear more, I'll let you know.
Green Lantern is scheduled for release on June 19, 2020.
