Wonder Woman Movie To Span Across Time
With Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice all but complete for release next summer, the next phase in DC's cinematic universe, Wonder Woman, is getting ready to start filming this November. Not much information is known about the movie, except that it will star Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, and also feature Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Wonder Woman's love interest.
We've also recently found out that the movie will span three different time periods. The first is most likely ancient times, with no specific date given, and will take place on Themyscira. Themyscira is the home of Diana Prince (Wonder Woman's real name) and also the home of the Amazons. The second will take place during World War I, specifically 1916, which would put her right in the middle of the conflict. The last place that the movie will jump to is modern times, which is when (I'm assuming) she hooks up with Steve Trevor. Since Chris Pine is playing him, I'm guessing that they'll want to bring him back for future movies, so his appearance will most likely happen then. It's also being reported that in each time period she will be donning a different costume that reflects each era.
Wonder Woman will be filming in London, England, as well as on the island of Basilicata in Italy. The movie's release date is scheduled for June 23, 2017.
